Why isn’t mine done?

Applications are made according to geographic areas.  Applications begin in the S. W. starting in Walworth County and move north and east from there. The  last applications take place along the Lake Michigan shoreline  communities where its cooler by the lake and plant growth is behind the western communities.

It rained after you sprayed.

Once the application has been made and has dried, additional applications are not necessary.  The products are applied with a spreader/sticker.  This makes the water spread out over the leaf surface than  it  is stuck or glued so that it cannot be washed off by the rain.   Products are also made to penetrate the leaf surface  so that they are inside the leaf and cannot be washed off.

Can pets go into the area before the24 hours is up.

People and pets need to stay out of the area until the application has dried.  After this time avoid the area for the posted time.

Do I need to move my bird feeders and lawn furniture.

Bird feeders and lawn furniture will be removed or covered before the applications are made by the applicator .  (Please, keep bird feeders within reach.)

Will they be put back.

Generally, no.   If the items were move from under the drip line of the tree, the area will not be dry enough to put the furniture back.

How long between rounds.

Generally 3 weeks if the weather cooperates.

When do you start.

The first application is made after the leaves emerge when the leaves are most susceptible to infection.  There needs to be enough leaf surface to apply the spray – about 1/3 of the full leaf size.  However, because  there are many varieties of crab apples , they do not leaf out at the same time  and there will be a wide variety in leaf size.
