Welcome to Our 75^th Year in Business!

We are very proud of the history of our company and continue to strive to maintain the level of science, service and value that Larry Wachtel created 75 years ago. We will be including pictures of historical importance to our company in our communications to you throughout the year and we are offering you an opportunity to participate in our celebration through monthly drawings and promotions.

We are celebrating every month. Each and every time Wachtel performs a service for you, your name will be entered into a drawing for a gift. This program will continue through out the year with a drawing for a gift each month. So keep an eye out for updates on the drawings and other events we have planned to celebrate this year. When Larry Wachtel started his tree care company in 1935, it was with a commitment to a quality and a responsibility to keeping trees healthy and beautiful. We've been honored to be able to carry on that tradition for 75 years. Today Wachtel Tree Science's staff provides tree care of unmatched quality, and boasts more degreed arborists than any other tree care company in the state.

Throughout the year we will be conducting monthly prize drawings - every time we do work at your home, you will qualify for that month's drawing.

In honor of our 75^th year, we'd like to extend a special thank-you offer. If you book $750 or more in tree pruning within the first 75 days of 2010 (January 1 - March 17), we will give you a voucher for $75 to be used on a future service of any kind. There is no time limit on when the pruning needs to be done, and the voucher will be good through December 31, 2011.

Congratulations the Tess family of Brookfield. The Tess’s are the sixth of our year long monthly contest winners in our 75^th Anniversary celebration. Our Plant Health Care specialists applied applications to help control Fletcher scale on Arborvitae and Needlecast on Colorado Spruce. Our prize for the Tess’s is a selection of autographed books written by a friend of our company Melinda Myers. Melinda is well known through out Wisconsin and the Midwest as an expert horticulturist that you may have seen on the TV or heard on the radio. Congratulations to Sarah and Michael Gilman of Mequon. The Gilman’s are the fifth of our year long monthly contest winners in our 75^th Anniversary celebration. Our prize for Sarah and Michael is a $75.00 gift certificate to Minor’s Garden Center located at 777 N. 76 St. in Milwaukee.

April 2010
Congratulations to Bob Kraus of New Berlin. Bob is the fourth of our year long monthly contest winners in our 75^th Anniversary celebration. One of our PHC applicators fertilized two spruce trees in his yard during April as part of a two part program to help control Needlecast, a harmful disease of Spruce trees. The prize for April was a $75 gift certificate to Johnson’s Nursery at W180 N6275 Marcy Rd in Menomonee Falls or to Johnson’s Gardens at 8504 Hwy 60 in Cedarburg. If you have never been to Johnson’s they have a wide selection of trees, shrubs and flowers at both locations.

Congratulations to Tom and Vicky Bonesho of Brookfield. They are the third of our year long monthly contest winners in our 75^th Anniversary celebration. The prize for March was a $75 gift certificate to the Shady Lane Greenhouse in Menomonee Falls.

February 2010
Congratulations to Tracy Wood of Pewaukee. Tracy is the second of our year-long monthly contest winners in our 75^th Anniversary celebration. The prize for the February drawing was a $75 gift certificate to Applebee’s restaurant. Our crews performed pruning of 6 trees, 11 shrubs and removal of a small tree on her property in late February.

Did you know that we offer shrub pruning? We do, and winter is an excellent time of the year to prune shrubs. Remember, for every service we do at your property your name will go in for that month’s drawing. This month the prize is a gift certificate for $75 at Shady Lane Greenhouse in Menomonee Falls. Shady Lane is an excellent place to purchase flowers and gifts. Wachtel Tree Science will have a booth at Shady Lane’s annual open house on May 4^th. Congratulations to Russ & Cindy Szymek of Muskego. They are the first winners in our 75^th Anniversary celebration monthly drawing. The prize for January drawing was $100 gift certificate for Kohl’s department store. Our crews performed pruning of mature oak trees and removal of dead elms on their property in early January. We are sure they will enjoy how beautiful the trees will be when they leaf out! Remember, for every service we do at your property your name will go in for that monthly drawing.
