Job Title:
Office Manager
Education:
Attended UW-Milwaukee to pursue an English and Film Studies degree.
Additional Roles in the company:
I have spent time in many roles within the administrative side of Wachtel Tree Science and I continue to help in those roles to this day. I assist with our marketing efforts, company social event planning, employee training, IT and assisting clients with questions/concerns/tree care requests.
How Did You Get Your Start at Wachtel Tree Science and Why Did You Choose Wachtel as Your Employer?
I had a family member working at the company. In 2013, I attended the Wachtel Tree Science holiday party as their guest, and I was offered to schedule an interview shortly after that event. I had experience in website management, copy writing and customer service, which was a good fit for the administrative staff and fulfilled some marketing needs.
I had heard great things about Wachtel’s culture from my family member and I was excited to work here. I have been working here for over 10 years now and I’m grateful to get the opportunity to work with a company that focuses on taking care of employees and on providing exceptional tree care and client service.
What Do You Like Best About Working at Wachtel Tree Science?
I love the people I work with every day. The entire Wachtel team is focused on helping each other and doing great work. I also like that the company is very family-orientated and focused on safety, wellness, and passion.
What Advice/Tips Do You Have for Aspiring Tree Care Professionals?
Don’t be afraid to try something new. We have many people in the company that have come from backgrounds that weren’t focused on the green industry/tree care/forestry and those people bring great perspectives to our team.
Hobbies and Interests:
Most of my free time these days revolves around finding fun things to do with my husband, Jeff, and our kids, Freddie and Sullivan. When we aren’t going on adventures as a family I love to spend time with friends, read, crochet/knit, watch movies and learn about American history.
Is There Anything Else You’d Like to Say About What It Feels Like to Work for Wachtel Tree Science?
There are so many people at Wachtel Tree Science with a passion for trees/plants and a lot of interesting knowledge related to tree care. I have learned so much in my time working here, and I appreciate that my coworkers share their knowledge and passion with me every day.
