How Did You Get Your Start at Wachtel Tree Science and Why Did You Choose Wachtel as Your Employer?

I met the previous company owner, Dave Scharfenberger, at a career fair at UWSP. From there I began an internship before my senior year at UWSP. Once I graduated in December 2021, I started full time because I felt that there was no better place to learn and grow in my skills as an arborist.

What Do You Like Best About Working at Wachtel Tree Science?

My favorite thing about working at Wachtel Tree Science is the wide range of great people I get to work with on a day-to-day basis.

What Advice/Tips Do You Have for Aspiring Tree Care Professionals?

Be able and willing to learn whenever possible is the best advice I can offer. There’s an infinite number of things to learn in this industry, so keeping your mind open to new ideas, techniques, procedures, etc. will help you develop the skills necessary to succeed in this industry.

Hobbies and Interests:

Bowhunting, hiking and hanging out with family and friends.
