Summer is in full swing and Wachtel Tree Science has a few exciting items we wanted to share with our clients!

  • This summer we have had the privilege of bringing on several new hard-working employees that are helping take care of your trees. There are 4 summer interns learning the ins and outs of the tree care industry: Brady Brushwood, Maddie Doucette, Allyson Differt, and Brianna Zinda. We have also had to opportunity to hire 5 full time employees: Ben Ori, Maria Panasuk, Jerry Hipper, DJ Jaeger, and Rachel Day. We are excited to add these great employees to our staff as we grow each year to ensure you receive the best tree care possible.
  • We are also celebrating some milestone anniversaries this summer! Our Plant Health Care manager, Janet Doss, has been with Wachtel Tree Science for 30 years this summer! Alongside her is one of our plant health are experts, Jeff Schulz, who is also celebrating 30 years of service. Finally, we have Board Certified Master Arborist, Tony Arnoldi, celebrating 35 years of service and dedication to our clients and their trees. Make sure to congratulate them if you get a chance to speak to them.
  • One last note: a reminder to make sure you are monitoring your trees, especially newly planted trees, for watering needs this summer. Our summers often come with dry periods. During these times, be sure to water your trees thoroughly. Larger trees will need more water than small plants. Envision soaking the soil and root system deeply a foot or two feet deep into the soil.
