Wachtel Tree Science has always been known to approach tree care in a scientific way, that’s why science is in our name! So it is that time again when you will be receiving our yearly plant health care recommendations. These yearly or multiyear services will keep your trees healthy and beautiful.
What should you expect to see in this letter? Previously, you had discussed with one of our talented, highly trained professional arborists what was concerning you about your trees. This resulted in the recommendations to improve the health of the tree.
During the winter months, the arborist reviews each of his or her client’s accounts. In this process, they take the time to see what has been done in the past and to see if the treatment is still warranted for your trees. Adjustments and refinements are made when appropriate or if a new or more refined treatment is now available. A great example of this is how we handle the emerald ash borer (eab). Only a few years ago, the common treatment for emerald ash borer was a soil injection. Now, with evidence from research, many of these treatments have been adjusted to a trunk injection. As a result, the switch was made to better serve your trees’ health.
While doing these reviews, often it is a reminder, often it is a reminder that a property visit or tour may be necessary to assess the current condition of your trees. You might wonder what does the arborist do when they are at my property inspecting my trees? There are many factors our arborists consider when taking a look at each individual tree or shrub. Some circumstances there might be an abiotic (non-living organism) or biotic (living organism) issue; which would result in a plant health care recommendation. Other site recommendations may be as simple as giving the tree more or less water and adding mulch to benefit the tree. Pruning or removal specifications may also be recommended for your trees and shrubs.
The reason we do what we do is because of our love for not just trees but nature as a whole. So be on the lookout in your mailbox or email inbox on what your sales arborist has recommended for your property’s needs to sustain its beauty. And please do not hesitate to call or email us to visit your property anytime of the year. Thank You for putting your trust in Wachtel Tree Science!
