After graduating from the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Forestry, I began my arboricultural career working for a tree care company near the Twin Cities. I then found my home at Wachtel Tree Science near friends and family. My early job responsibilities included working on production crews to prune, remove, plant trees, and other on-the-job tasks. Since being with Wachtel Tree Science, I have been in production, sales, and now in management and company ownership. I have also been a part of industry related organizations like the Wisconsin Arborist Association – serving in several capacities including being President of the organization in 2015. Now, as President at Wachtel Tree Science, I continue the legacy that Larry Wachtel started and by improving client’s lives helping them with their trees and landscapes.
When not at work, I continue to enjoy being outside. Whether it includes bike riding, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting or just finding time to play catch with my boys, I appreciate the time spent outdoors. I relish taking the time to catch a sunrise since mornings offer up so many opportunities for the remainder of a day.
As a Board Certified Master Arborist, I approach tree care with the attitude that the homeowner will ultimately do what is best for their situation and for their trees based on my recommendations. I will offer solutions based on what I have learned and know about trees to provide the best options for them and their landscape. I appreciate having the opportunity to educate and assist clients in any way possible so they can more fully enjoy their outdoor spaces!
