I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll University in Biology and Environmental Science with an emphasis in Biochemistry. Upon graduation, I enjoyed working as a Naturalist at 1000 Islands Environmental Science in Kaukauna, learning a lot about education and Wisconsin ecosystems. I spent time working as a Soil Conservationist until I found Wachtel Tree Science. Since starting at Wachtel, I have expanded my tree knowledge as an arborist, plant health care technician, and Client Service Arborist.
I share my days with my wonderful husband, Griffin, and our two-year-old lab, Pepper. We spend most of our time hiking, kayaking, and camping. In the winter, we are avid board game players, while we thaw from long days outside. I love to spend the rest of my time skiing, traveling, reading, and cooking with too much garlic
My approach to tree care is biology and ecosystem based. Trees are dynamic parts of our urban environments. As such, trees need to be treated as habitats, artisans, and heirlooms for us and our communities.
