My love of trees led me to earning my Associates Degree in Arboriculture at Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2009. While completing my degree, I interned as a climbing arborist and plant healthcare technician. My wide range of tree care experience led me to a sales and consulting position. I came to Wachtel Tree Science, drawn to the scientific approach to tree care and reputation in the industry. I have been an ISA Certified Arborist since 2012 and have been a Certified Tree Care Safety Professional as well.
I enjoy spending personal time with my family and dogs, especially up at the family cabin in Marinette County amongst the tall White Pines. I am an avid woodworker and musician and appreciate the creative arts. I combine my love for art and horticulture by maintaining my own home landscape which I started from scratch in 2017. I have planted some of my favorite tree species, including Musclewood, Ironwood, Tamarack, Witch Hazel, and Dawn Redwood. The trees are complimented by a wide range of native Wisconsin prairie plants, my favorite being Compass Plant!
My favorite part of being an arborist is keeping trees healthy, safe, and beautiful for my clients and our ecological community. I am dedicated to maintaining positive relationships with clients and their trees to achieve a proactive and effective management plan for the trees on their property.
