I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Winona State University. I was hired onto the Wachtel Tree Science team in 2003 working in both tree and landscape, and plant health care. After three years I moved out of the area but continued to work in the tree care industry. During this time I gained a wide array of experience working as a crew leader, part-time sales consultant, and production manager. Early in 2024 I was fortunate to be hired back to the Wachtel Tree Science team and am looking forward to serving as the North Regional Manager.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters. In spring we like helping collect and boil down maple sap to make syrup at the family farm. Trips to our lake property are fun in the summer. I also really enjoy watching Packer games in the fall and getting together with family and friends around the holidays. Other hobbies of mine include cooking, gardening, and woodworking.
What I like most about tree care is seeing all the hard work pay off in the form of beautiful trees.
