Common Tree Pests of Wisconsin

While it is still essential to have a Certified Arborist diagnose your unique tree health concerns in person, this tree pest gallery is a great way to identify possible issues affecting your sick or dying tree. After diagnosing your tree, we will do everything we can to bring it back to health for years to come.

Common tree pests include Emerald Ash Borer, Gypsy Moth, Honey Locust Leafhopper, Japanese Beetle, and the Zimmerman Pine Moth. Some trees will be weakened and become susceptible to other insect infestations while others absolutely will not survive without treatment. The arborists at Wachtel Tree Science have been treating Ash Trees for EAB ever since they came to Southeastern Wisconsin in 2008. Early diagnoses could mean a significant savings when treating your tree. We highly recommend that both homeowners and business owners regularly inspect their ash trees for signs of Emerald Ash Borer.
